Modify skin working in 1.3.7 to work in 1.4.2?

Hi!

I have a nice and simple skin that I really like, I use it in 1.3.7. It's called X-lite.

As I understand this will not work in 1.4.2, correct? Is there a possibility to mod this skin so it will work in 1.4.2?
I don't know much about modifing skins...can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have uploaded the file in case anyone wants to try

I don't know who made it...it's from the old DE server...

As there have been many changes from 1.3.7 to 1.4.2 there must be very changes also in skin.
This is a very big work.
