Hi,

I'm relatively new to xbmc but upto now I have installed a few video add ons including iplayer.

When I watch anything on iplayer or any other plugins there's no sound at all. I have looked in the settings and can't see anything. Any ideas?

Xbmc Gotham

Thanks in advance

This has been covered in another thread, you can change the remote buttons and give yourself the option to swap media players if the xbmc one opens (fast playback no sound) you can choose the E2 media player instead

This should help...

Look for the file keyboard.xml and change a few buttons?

Its either in..

/media/hdd/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps

or..

/usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps

Edit file keyboard.xml at these lines..

Change <volume_mute>mute</volume_mute>
To <volume_mute>ContextMenu</volume_mute>

Change <escape>PreviousMenu</escape>
To <escape>Back</escape>

Change <zero>Number0</zero>
To <zero>SwitchPlayer</zero>

Then restart xbmc so changes can be implemented

This allows the context menu if you press mute.
This is an extra menu you can use to configure addons and access extra options within certain addons, such as navi-x.

You can change media player if you press zero.
Use this when the 'no-audio & fast-playback' problems start, zero opens a menu where you can choose the E2 player.

You can also press the exit button to go back one screen rather then back to the main menu each time.

*Ive attached a copy of mines so you could just overwrite yours if you want
