OpenWebIf from outside LAN

Hello folks,

I have a question for you.

Has anyone here succeeded to stream raw or transcoded channels using OpenWebIf (OWIF) without having to open ports other than 80 or 443?

Indeed OWIF WebUI is accessible on ports 80 or 443 of the Vu+. However raw streams are served on port 8001 and transcoded streams on port 8002. This means that if I want to access OWIF content I also need to open port 8001 or 8002 on my router, which is not a good idea (also because there is no access control on source streaming).

Using a reverse proxy it is easily possible to access the WebUI, but you cannot stream anything.

Is there maybe a plug-in or a way to do so?

Thanks.
