Hi there,
I have the latest image of 3.0.5 version and satfinder crashes on polarization change or in predefinede transponders and as I have read new versions are not suitable for Ultimo. Does anybody know which is the latest version where satfinder works or if the problem will be fixed in 3.0.5...
Thanks.

I found the exact same thing also
I think 3.0.2 was far more stable than 3.0.5

Using 3.0.5 was the first time i have ever seen a green screen on my Ultimo

Let me explain

VU + has made BUG in new coding for satfinder
due to the S2X tuner support in December 2017.
5 december 2017

VU+ have change coding for satfinder
What means after Black Hole 3.0.4 in all images is that bug.
Let's hope VU + will make a fix.
In principle, you can copy from BH 3.0.4 or BH 3.0.3
satfinder plugin.
And replace in recent images
The plugin is located in / usr / lib / enigma2 / python / Plugins / SystemPlugins /Satfinder

Of course, the old version does not support the S2X tuner
but you do not have it either.

Thank you for your reply.
So I have to install 3.0.4, copy the plugin in my pc and then install 3.0.5 and copy again the plugin in new image, if I understand well.

exactly

I did not test but I believe it will work.
(you can first backup on your PC orginal files)
replace files/plugin and reboot.

I tested with Uno 4K SE

for those who have a receiver with S2X tuner it is probably not a fix

So this is for all receivers
you can use the old Satfinder from images before December 2017
(BH 3.0.4 )

Fixed in BH 3.0.6 with online update (not that is helps you with an Ultimo, so you will still need to do it the way @Matrix10 suggested).
