Setting up a VPN in Black Hole 3.0.2B

Hi Gals & Guys,

Can someone please advise me on how to add a VPN to my Solo2, I tried copying a .ovpn file from my VPN provider & placing it in the openvpn folder of my STB. I then started the service in the settings menu, but after performing a speedtest via Kodi I am still not behind the VPN.

I've looked all over this forum & others but I cannot find a guide, please help, may be it could become a sticky...

I have, it points to a rather impressively complicated webpage about VPN, however I cannot see a section that covers the setup on openvpn or Black Hole 3.

My main problem with the setup is that I have a Boxpn acct, their openvpn config zip file just contains the .ovpn file, it's missing the .ca, .key, .config, etc, etc...
I'm wondering if all those files are really necessary for every installation? As the openvpn website speaks of condensing all needed info into the single .ovpn file, but then the service don't start... I'm confused !?!
