takes a while to load stream in windows media player and then starts/stops

Hi all

hope iv put this in the correct section, basically when I go to load a stream from my vu+ solo2 box to my PC uaing windows media player, I select a channel and it loads windows media player but the stream doesn't actually start I have to press the play button,
but for some reason I keep having to press the play button for a few times buefore the stream starts.

and then it starts and stops for some reason

can anybody help me, I'm guessing iv set everything up correct.

I'm streaming over WIFI and I know iv not a problem with my WIFI signal as its 100%

Use VLC player instead of windows media player!

ok iv downloaded and installed VLC but when I click the stream it wont load VLC player,

it just says at the bottom stream.m3u as finished downloading, I don't want that I want it to automatically open vlc player

1) Save the stream.m3u on a folder at your choice ...

2) Go to that folder click on .m3u file with right mouse button and choose VLC to be your predefined software to open .m3u files.

3) The next time you open an .m3u file ... vlc is your favorite software to open it!

its already yet as default programm for .m3u files as the stream as the VLC logo, but when I click to watch a channel it just downloads again

Use Firefox and select Open with VLC to open m3u files.
I've used this steps now and works regularly.
