Is there anything for this.

When your watching a recorded program, and also have a timer installed for a program.

The timer allways overrules the program your watching ??
would 'nt it be possible to get a message and option wich you would prefer ...
- Keep watching the recorder program ...
- Switch to the timer event ....

Hi Guys,

I haven't tried a timed recording yet but this sounds like somthings wrong. I would have thought that a timed recording should start in the background no matter what you are watching, there should be no need for a message? On my VM cable box I can record two programmes while I watch a third. Could this be a bit of a design fault?

Richard.

That is really strange, if you are watching a recorded program, the box still works and can record without stopping your watching.
Are you sure that this stops the program you are watching?
