Tuner B is always recording

tresrrr

I have a VU + SOLO2 SE with two tuners.
With OpenVIX everything worked fine until suddenly I could not change to the B tuner because he was always recording nothing.

After changing the image to BlackHole 3, it worked again for a few weeks, but the same thing happened again, I could not change to the B tuner because it was always recording nothing.

I have already checked the configuration of tuner B.
I tried "equal to A", advanced and simple, but it does not work.

In the "Box INFO" below, you can see how the tuner B always shows "19.2° E / #0 (213.136.86.176)".
It does not matter how I configure it.

I need to know what goes wrong:
  • Are the cause the images OpenVIX or BlackHole?
  • Is the decoder's tuner the one that does not work?
  • Can it be the LNB?
I appreciate any help.

Regards

Someone is using your box to stream a channel from.

If you are not aware of them doing this, then you need to check your webif and router ports are secured.

Unless this someone is not you yourself, streaming by any of your devices ;)
If not, create a password for the root user and, also, change the port for OpenWebInterface.

Alot time he used scripts to abused your box and add pasword on box/ftp/webinterface no help.
Best is install all from begined and setup strong pasword.

Thank you very much guys.

I could not believe that the security I had was not strong enough, but it was.
The access ports were already changed and the password was strong.
After your notices, I decided to change everything before restoring the factory settings.

I activated the access only by https and as soon as I deactivated the access for the root user, it stopped connecting.

Incredible that there are people who take advantage of this!

Greetings and thanks

The same way as of post#5: enable https, set a root password and, best solution of all, change the standard port for streaming (default is 83).

It's a PC thing, you need to secure your router and add a password, to your receiver, using telnet.
Many people leave the router passwords the same, as when the router was delivered, allowing easy access for hackers.
Make the passwords extremely strong, and not something you find easy to remember, like a family, or pets, name.

Ok, thank you very much.
I already have a strong password for my receiver (root), and now I canged the port for streaming, I will change now my router password.

root is the receivers username, the password is left blank, by default, unless you've used telnet, to change the password, in your receiver.

By telnet, to set a new password for the user "root" type
passwd root

You'll be asked TWICE to enter a password. Do it.

To remove it give this command:
passwd root -d
