Actually H265 (4K videos) are not supported.
Write to Vu+ (www.vuplus.com) asking support this new codec.

They do not usually reply to emails (they receive way too many to be able to reply to them all).

However they do read them and when they manage to add new features, or fix certain things, they release updated drivers, or updated features on there git.

This in turn gets picked up by the BH team and the updates are applied to the BH image.

So you just need to wait and see i'm afraid.

The gpu of all vu models don't support hardware decode of h265 so I don't believe this will ever happened because even if they make drivers for decoding there will be only software decoding so all the old vu models don't have the processing power.
Maybe duo2 or solo2 which are at 1300mhz can software decode but I have me serious doubts on this.
We need a new model with 4k output and h265 hardware decode which I doubt it will happened this year since there is no sat feeds at the moment at h265. Understand that sat boxes follow what's in the sat air and not whatever exist for decoding.

This is what I saw lately that I felt to 4k with a new TV that I bought. The only things I found that decode 4k h265 or hevc are intel nuc Haswell models and some android 4k media players like minix x8 (I just ordered one) that all output to 2160p 30p .

to watch movies with h265 codec , we must have 3 things working proprely or supporting h265 which are tv set, receiver, and drivers or software
tv set should have a hardware or processor big with quadre speed or higher uhd 4k also receiver must have same big hardware uhd 4k, and at the end the image should run with a driver of uhd if one thing is missig on this no movie on uhd 4k h265 can be view, about vu+zero 4k yes it can run h265 bcz it have Dual Core 7000 DMIPS ARM CPU (2x 1.500 MHz)

Thay is also an enigma for me of why vuplus duo2 for instance can not show 4k contents.
Hardware cofiguration is ok. And there seems to be only a software issue involved to be taken care of which they claim is lacking in old models.

This logically should be solved with add on decoder of h265 to be installed to do the job of transcoding.
Because from what I figured new 4k boxes all have similar configurations with those of vuplus duo2. So that doesnt seem to be a hardware issue.
To be pessimistic, I reckon, they want to sell out new 4k box in the market and encorage users to replace the old ones with new 4k ones. Thats why they dont software upgrade the ones which are potential to be upgraded like duo2.

There is no hardware deficncies which block duo2 in running 4k contents except a codec (h256) which has never been released.

So even though Broadcom state the cpu can only handle 1080p maximum (because there was no 4K available when duo2 cpu was created) you think that it’s just a software codec needed for the duo2 to be able to open 4K channels and Vu+ won’t release this imaginary 4K software codec just to force you to buy a 4K box ??

To believe that it is VU + problem is ridiculous.
Processor manufacturers not only sell processor hardware but processor software and options.
    What you pay you get.

Ask broadcom to send you a free processor update if it is possible ...:D
