Please ask me if it supports the 4k Vu+Duo 2
According to specs:
- HDMI 1.4 video / audio output (digital) - up to 1080p
This will mean no it doesn't.
does Vu+Duo2 support 4k?
I have onkyo upscalling for 4k only.
Thanks but new Dreambox 7080HD is compatible. What different between 2 box and what is the best?
Compatible with what ??
He is no compatible with 4k.
Boxes who will be suport 4k will be mast have new cpu and suport hevec 265
I'm sorry but where did you read that nonsense: "Dreambox 7080HD is compatible" ?
even if it was, there's not that much 4k content around yet anyway
not enough to warrant paying double the price for a receiver that hasn't got as much support like the Vu+ receivers have
Beware DM7080 does not support UHDTV.
It's a lie from some sellers.
What procecor and ram needed for UHDTV Box
1st thing is broadcasts, not just trials.
I can not find a solution to the problem of the white bulb in duo2
There is no single receiver with Enigma to support UHDTV
at this moment.
if its 4K you want, buy the VU+ 4K i Highly Recommend it, not only as a 4k receiver, but in general it is a great box, and has 1500mhz dual core cpu, fastest receiver ive ever used, with Blackhole 3.0.1.e image installed its got everything you could want.
Hi folks, I'm watching 4K on my Samsung 2016 model, using a stream from my VU+ Duo2.
The trick is to let your TV do the HEVC decoding of the stream:
- Install PLEX on your TV and login (you must have a PLEX server somewhere -either in house or of a friend)
- Install the "DreamBox" plugin for PLEX on the PLEX server (Google it)
- Create a Bouquet of all 4K channels on your VU+ DUO2 and test them (FTA channels will let you hear their sound).
- Open Plex on your TV and goto Channels -> DreamBox and navigate to the 4K Bouquet and open a channel.
Due to various reasons, you might get up to 10 times errors in trying to play them, but eventually it will start playing perfectly your Satellite 4K channel !!! Just hit retry.
This is how I watch the EURO 2016 (TRT 4K)
Hope some of you with the required gear will enjoy, too.
How to watch 4k channels on HD linux based satelite recivers:
There are two ways you can watch 4k channels on vuplus duo2 or any similar HD linux based boxes:
record the 4k channel and ftp it into your lap top to watch it.
use KOODI on your smart tv or your laptop. This way Kodi does the job of decoding H265 which is required for watching 4k channels and is lacking in HD boxes.
THIS WAS TESTED WITH DUO2
Have you seen the date of precedent TRD: 05 July 2016
It seems that you want to give answers to make numbers or ....... spamming. (https://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/mpeg-4-2-2-question.34412/#post-261688 Trd #5).
