VU+ Duo - Defective PSU?

Hi,

The other day my VU+ Duo receiver rebooted out of the blue and after the reboot it froze with the text "VU+ Duo" in the display. Now there isn't even the text in the display, only the red power lamp is on and the HDD is spinning up. Nothing shows up on the TV screen and I'm not able to ping the box or connect to in any way.

Can I safely conclude that the PSU is defective or could it be something different?
If the PSU is the problem is it worth the money and the effort to replace it?

Thanks,

@angelofsky1980 ; In the second thread in Italian that you refer to is mentioned an image showing which capacitator to change on the cpu board. The image file doesn't seem to be available anymore. Do you have it share? Thanks

I'm sorry but I haven't that picture anymore avaiable. Probabily the main post author links an external source instead to upload the pic in the forum.
You can refer (for component locations) to English thread: https://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/vu-duo-is-dead.3616/page-3#post-52495

Hello
I've been there
you need to replace the motherboard capacitor c807 (see attached photo)
but if you want a good result you must first disassemble the board itself and unsolder the pins of the old capacitor and then solder the new ones
Someone welds the pins of the new codensator onto the pins of the old one after having eliminated it with a wire cutter. Do not do it.
by the way, respect the polarities
