Is your receiver genuine?
I have read that clone receivers can have this problem after updating to a later version of Black Hole.

If you're certain it's genuine then you might have to return it, to be checked.
I do know that some clones are killed, by later versions of Black Hole, usually after scanning in channels, and need the boot up chip replaced.

I had electricity blackout home. Since then, only a red LED lights up at front of my VU+DUO. Pressing the remote controller, it turns to some yellowish color, but nothing happens. Is there a fuse which should be exchanged?

Ok guys here is a reference guide for all of you that changed capacitors on motherboard and still have problem with red light.
Pick up 4x 1500uf 10v and go change the 4 ones from the power supply. Make sure they are 105c rated and best to be branded too, i used Sanyo brand my self.
Box is up and away :)
..... Again, yeah keep walking.

I cant edit my previous post but this can fix
1.Red Light with no power on
2.Box Stuck at Starting......
3.Weird screen flickering or/and front panel dimming/flickering issues.
4.Box unstable while using internal hdd
All those are power brick related issues if you already have fixed the faulty capacitors on motherboard.

Some times I can come downstairs in the morning and my Duo is stuck in standby. I find that a quick switch off at the back and back on again after a min or so cures all (I might have to download CrossEPG again to get all my EPG again sorted) this might be about once a week. Could this be a hardware fault or some software problem. I dont have my EPG set up for downloads at night time when in standby I do it myself when needed. My Duo was bought new and is 3 years and 3 days old

It was my turn..Changed capacitor with 220uf 50v (i had only this model) & working like a charm. I found an explanation on the net & the most important is to not go down with voltage & you can also go a little up with the uf
