Hi Everyone

After reading so much magnificent feature about this Vu+Duo2, I am very interested to get one.

I would like to know the followings,

1. if it is able to record more than one TV show at the same time?

2. If it could, how many Tv shows could it records at the same time?

3. Is it true the Transcoding Function allow us to view any TV channels anywhere in the world as long there is an internet connection? Can we also view the movies that we had downloaded from the internet which we had saved into the internal harddisk of Vu+?

1) Yes
2) I think the limit is something like 16, but it will depend on many things (how many tuners, you have, what frequency's the channels are on, and how fast your hdd is).
3) You can transcode outside of your local network.

Few more questions,

1. How many Tv shows could it record at the same time for 1 tuner?

2. How many cable tuners could it have?

3. While the set is doing recording, could I still watch the recorded shows in the harddisk when I am in another country?

1) All the tv shows / channels would have to be on the same transponder iirc, so that would limit it, but again I think 16 is the max.
2) 2x twin dvb-c pluggable tuners is possible, then you could add a further 2x usb dvb-c tuners if you wished, giving you a total of 6 cable tuners (but no satellite tuners).
3) I have never tried, so can not answer.

Hi Ev0, thanks again for the super quick advice!

Could any Experts tell me if I am in another country, could I still watch the recorded shows in the harddisk while the set is doing recording of Tv shows?

I would like to know if I am watching some movies from the box’s internal Harddisk at the office, will the timer recordings still works as per normal?

Hi Guys,

When not at home, watching movies from the box through iPad, please tell me the followings,
1. What Apps are we using?
2. can we do a forward or reverse during playback?
3. is there a memory on last view?

download image .
extract file copy to usb . dont use to big usb
put in the box front ,when box start press Little button beside where you put usb hold in to ist says read usb, let go, dont push to hard . when done remove usb

I just followed instructions from the website your provided and I manage to upgrade to latest version of blackhole now....

But I want to know.

if there i any better or other image available for vu box (original)

What is the best skin available?

Can you also recommend me some good iptv channel which i can upload through dreamedit?



I also cant find ***** file does NOT exist in ETC folder.... what to do?

I have downloaded cfg file and I moved into etc fold but receiver cant read it and when I press blue button. it still doesnt show and it cant find it with right or left buttons..... I cant watch anything... help....

About RAM, as wrote many times, 50% of RAM memory is dedicated to video subsystem and is not avaiable for user processes.
