Solo Vu-solo Red light

Hi, my friend has brought me his vu solo and when i plug it in all i get is the red light on the front, nothing else. I have tried reflashing using a USB but it does nothing at all. I am not sure what he has done, maybe flashed a wrong image, any ideas would be great, thanks

A Vu+Solo box with red light can be very problematic.
Can be a wrong CFE update (most possible) than a wrong image.
In the first case I don't know how to repair it, in the second case it should be sufficient to reflash the box with a coherennt image for your box.

To be sure about the problem, can be very useful a serial output of the startup process of your box.

I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be the psu unit had a blown diode on it. Took it to get repaired and its worked fine ever since. If you have another solo try changing the psu over and see if it boots if it does there is a issue with psu somewhere

Just swapped the psu unit and still a red light, beginning to think it's fit for the bin..
