Hello,

I'm wondering after doing some research if the VU+ Solo SE v2 is available as a terrestrial HD PVR receiver only or will it consist of the saterlite tunner as standard?

However, I wish to do the following things:
a) Record SD and HD freeview terrestrial channels and be able to transfer them to and external USB drive for converting to .ts file?

b) Be able to edit recorded material by editing the file to remove unwanted scenes so its suitable for family viewing should that occur?

B) will the twin hybrid tuners have full EPG and PVR function?

a) The recording is already in TS format, so no convert needed
b) With appropriate PC software, you can
c9 EPG and PVR are box features and not tuner features. SoloSEv2 have them.

Hi many thanks for your reply,

Can you confirm that if recording a freeview HD channel using the terestiral plugin tunner it can be transferred out as .ts to another hardisk and playable on over devices, therefore it is not encrypted like some PVRS do?

Will it feature BBC red button services and channels?

Can it record 2 different channels at the same time?

Record is made as TS encrypted file with .ts extension.
If BBC Red button service is based on HBBTV, it should works.
About simultaneuos records, yes but:
- with single DVB-T2 tuner, you can record many channels from same Mux
- with dual DVB-T2 tuner, you can record two or more channels, depends in what Mux they are located.

Ah so the freeview SD will record as .ts and not encrypted but he HD will be encrypted as .ts?
So that means I can not decrypt HD freeview recording when transferring to an external hardrive to use on other decvices, am I correct?

ah thanks that clear now. Now I can proceed to buy a genuine VU+ SOLO SE v2. Are the hybrid twin tunners made by VU or someone else?
