VU+ Solo2 Genuine or Clone?

I think I read, on the forum, of a plugin, by VU+, feel the love, or something similar, that will inform you if your receiver is genuine, without damaging it.
Hopefully someone who has used this can help further.

Hello guys and thanks for your replys again
I eventually bought my first linux pvr thesolo2...everything seems pretty genuine the box accessories...But to be 100% sure I went through plugin list and tried to find the "return the love event" geniune box checker its there and needs to be downloaded.
When I try to do download the plugin nothing will happen problem is it seems all available plugins are downloadable but the genuine checker!(e.g. Im able to download the fan control and the audio sync plugins but the "return the love event"
What would cause this issue? Im running on a BH2.0.1 version
Also after plugin list updated the "HD Glass" skin cant be selected the bh says:"sorry the skin is not suitable for the current bh...." or somthing like that
would it be because my bh version is outdated?
Thanks

@hamidr : We don't support HDGlass skin. It ovewrites BH code.

THE BLACK HOLE IMAGE IS ISSUED FOR THE FREE USE FOR ALL USERS PROVIDED THAT IT WILL NOT BE CHANGED IN ANY WAY ...

Thanks paolino,
So why the HD glass was ok at first but after update extensions it doesn't work?
And for that genuine box plugin?
I think I'm unable to post pictures here i have severals from inside and outside the box. Comparing to VU+ official site pictures everything says genuine to me...
The BH installed by a setup person in my house sent by the seller.
Do you think it would be an unofficially modded BH version?

Hi everyone,
After nearly one month and flash to latest bh 2.1.1 all I can say: pretty bad PQ specially on SD...HD doesn't seem great either...Using auto res plugin, video enhancement, whatever,....Both on HDMI and A/V output, SD image sucks...Noisy and blurry..
Very disappointed :(

I very recently purchased Vu+ solo 2 twin tuner from *******.com. The vendor said it is manufactured under license of parent company and of course can be updated to Blackhole v. 2.0.9.( It has BH 2.0.1) I am confused about it. vendor also stated not upgrade higher than that. Can experts comment on this, as i am completely new to Vu+.

Probably you have bought a clone box. No support here about that. Ask refund.

If you don find the plugin Return the Love Event in plugin list (green button) it means you have to enable it by Black Hole Speed Up:
Blue Panel (Blue Button) > Extra settings (Blue Button) > Black Hole Speed Up > VuplusEvent (Return the Love Event)
Hi Mito
I have found the Return the Love Event and tested my VU DUO2, after running the test it came back with the answer > AUTHENTICATION SUCCESS.
This tells me that my VUDUO2 is a original box, it has the BH 2.1.1 and i see that all inside the lid when i fitted the Hard Drive was as original to pictures shown,
I would like to now upgrade from BH 2.1.1 to BH 2.1.7 as i see this is the latest BH image. I need to ask a question here at this point.
When i start the Vuduo2 it says on the front panel V2 i can see that the BH 2.1.7 says V4 , so Please do i need to update the drivers first or just load BH 2.1.7 via the front USB as a direct flash. Please can you give me an idea on what i am asking here.
Kind Regards Talks.

You can update via USB directly to 2.1.7 image.

V2 refers to your bootloader, which is the last version, so as stated, you can load Black Hole 2.1.7 or Open Black Hole 0.1, your choice.

Thank you for this post, To take it one step more please if possible.
I have seen V4 as a bootloader? so as i am showing V2 as a bootloader then should i upgrade it to V4 or why is there a V4 what does this mean what has been changed in the bootloader between V2 & V4. sorry for sounding nieve on this but i am a Newbie with VU and dont want to mess things up.
Thank you.

There are different versions, of a bootloader, for different VU+ models, I think the VU+ Duo has version 3, but as far as I know the VU+ Duo 2 still uses a version 2, you can check this on the VU+ home website.
I'm still using the V2 bootlader, for the VU+ Duo 2.

As said i am very new to VU duo2 and when you said about checking with the VU+ home web i found that the VU Duo2 is as said the latest bootloader is V2, I feel a bit silly now but your guide lines have helped me to see that i already have the latest bootloader.
This is what i found.

DUO2 CFE V2 Update HowTO.

************************************************************************************
** NOTE **
************************************************************************************
This Bootloader(CFE) is Version 2, supporting WOL.
If you see "Vu+ Duo2 CFE V2" message when booting, there is no need to update.

************************************************************************************
** Caution! **
************************************************************************************
This CFE(Duo2_CFE_V2.zip) should be used for Duo2 only.
Otherwise it will crash the box.

************************************************************************************
** Brief explanation of Duo2 CFE update **
************************************************************************************

1. Unzip the Duo2_CFE_V2.zip to USB stick.(cfe_cfe_auto.bin, cfe_cfe_auto.md5sum and cfe_cfe_auto.model should be at /vuplus/duo2 folder)
2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of Duo2 and turn the power on.
3. Press the front power button when Update message is shown.
5. It takes just a few seconds to update.
5. If Duo2 displays the message "Finished..reboot", remove the USB stick and restart the box.
5. To update image later, you should delete the all cfe_cfe_auto.* at /vuplus/duo2 in USB stick once CFE update is finished.

Thank you very much.
