Vu+ Solo2 Mains Switch

Having a problem with my Solo2 since about a fortnight now.
It's definitely an original which I bought almost 2 years ago.
At night, after shutdown I switch off from the rear Mains Switch
of the Receiver.
But when I try to switch on again the following morning, nothing happens.
After a few attempts, ranging from just 2 to even 6, it will work.
Sometimes, after trying to turn on the Receiver the blue light comes
on and blinks for a few seconds then goes off again.
I tried a different Power Supply Unit but the problem was still there.
I re-flashed my BH Image but still the same problem.
Would appreciate any feedback.
Thx.

Blue light? Are you sure it's blue?

The main circle on the left of the STB is purple and not blue.
If you can post a photo of this circles it's a better thing.

I just took a snapshot via Mobile phone but the colour is very blurred and unsatisfactory.
Yes you're right, it actually consists of four purple circles and not blue.
Sometimes when I switch on the receiver, the circles blink for a few seconds then disappear completely.
Then I try to switch on/off again and nothing happens, just a completely dark display.
Then after a few tries, maybe two or three or four or more, it starts.
When it starts it remains stable until I repeat the same the following morning.
My receiver is definitely original and has always been updated with the latest BH Image
always downloaded from this Forum.

Just to give one example.
Just switched on the Receiver. Nothing happens.
Front panel remains totally blank, not even the purple circles.
Tried twice, same result.
Switched on a third time and this time it works.
I even downgraded from BH 2.1.4 to BH 2.1.3 but the problem persists.
Any suggestions what might be the problem?

It could just be a faulty switch, why not stop turning it off, at the rear, and use the wall socket.
Altenatively I leave mine in standby mode, but there are other options, in the Black Hole shutdown menu.

For several days, after Shutting down via Remote Control and leaving the rear On/Off switch to ON and subsequently turning off from the Mains supply socket, the Solo2 invariably started on all five occasions without any problem. This confirmed that the problem only arose when the rear On/Off switch was turned to OFF and that the Receiver's On/Off switch was faulty.
It has now been replaced by a technician and the Solo2 is now working fine.

Thanks for the update Wendy, glad it is all sorted.
