Hello,
I tried to install a new skin for the LCD display. I went to OBH feeds then choose display then tried the LCD skin n°10. Installation was ok but after rebooting, the VU+ freezes on "Starting enigma2..." message.
I still can connect through ssh.
Is ther any command that let me go back to previous LCD skin ?
FTP also works. where are the LCD skins stored ? May be I can remove the installed skin ?

finally I found a solution...
The path where the skins are stored is :
\share\enigma2\display

I renamed OE-A_LCDSkin_10 folder (the bad LCD skin folder) into OE-A_LCDSkin_10_bak
and copied the default skin folder "skin_default" in "OE-A_LCDSkin_10"

And now it's ok.

You probably installed config files
without installing first the plugin LCD4Linux

Now,
Try to delete in /etc/enigma2/
files
lcd4config
skin_user.xml

reboot

and you have installed some standard LCD config
I did not know ,maybe not for open black hole.

indeed you were right. I installed the skin without installing the LCD4Linux plugin.
Now I installed it again after installing the plugin but the behaviour is the same...
Is there something to configure in the LCD4Linux plugin I didn't made ?
Or is there any documentation on this plugin ?
Thanks.

  1. Install LCD4Linux from the feeds.
  2. Unpack the files attached here Lcd4Linux_OBH_4.2.zip to a folder at your choice on your PC.
  3. Upload by using an FTP tool, the 2 obtained files lcd4config and skin_user.xml to:
Code:
/etc/enigma2

If needed, under plugins browser, open the LCD4LINUX plugin and on the first field, set it from <NO> to <YES>.

  • Restart GUI.

Thank you. Now it loops between different screens (weather, calendar, clock, etc.).
Can you please explain how it works or provide a pointer ? Thanks.

You mean stop the loop ... or increase the display time between screens?

Note: My config has 8 configured screens for "ON" and for "MEDIA".

The better way to change this is using your browser:

Connect to your STB, using the address:

Code:
http://your_box_ip/lcd4linux/config
