where to start

ive been looking at several boxes and VU+ solo 2 seems to stand out the most to me so i need to get the info i need before i go out buying one. ive used a cable box before flashing images to it and using it on cable but this time it will be for satelite.

i want one with a hard drive and im prepared to put the hard drive in myself and flash images etc but being these boxes are totally new to me ive no idea where to start.

i want to also buy a "gift subscription" as you call it.

is it easy to record and series link?

i want the box plugged into 1 tv but i hear you can connect it wirelessly to another tv so i have a smart tv in another room id like to connect it to as well but how does that even work ?
