xbmc / kodi on VU+ Uno

Vu+ Newbie
I am running my Uno in a universe so have plenty of space to run the official KODI, however, it is not included in my Image. I assume as there is not enough flash space to install it when the image is installed?
I am running KODI direct and that works fine. However, it is no where near as user friendly as the official Kodi I have on my computer.
Is there anyway of installing this on my Uno or not?

No XBMC/KODI support for 1st generation boxes.

OK, I get there is no support, but, the box works fine and I really do not want the expense of an upgrade to a newer box. Is there an IPK I can try or not. If there is not I will just go on with the box without it. Thanks

I'll explain better the situation: XBMC/KODI is not avaiable for 1st generation boxes due to hardware limitations.

"In general all enigma2 based settop boxes should be supported, the following are known to work.."

  • VU+Uno
  • VU+Duo
  • VU+Ultimo
  • DM800 HD (with Gemini image & OpenPLI)
  • DM8000 (OpenPLI image)

That is telling you, that the vu+ engima2 addon will work with the Uno and Duo, on a machine running kodi.

It does not say those boxes will run kodi (because they don't and they can't).
