Please provide more detailed information:
Do you have a fixed dish system, with numerous LNB's, motorized dish, or other?
Which satellites can you receive?
How have you set up your tuner configuration options?

Why duplicating posts?
Next time, wait for that someone could give, has the answer and time for it!

And, by the way, you are here "OFF TOPIC" :offtopic:

I will move your issue to -> Open BlackHole 4.2 - Solo2 section.

Thread moved to the correct section ( STB * IMAGE )

You must provide all relevant information regarding your problem.
It is not possible to know , what is the problem with the information provided.

If you are using Advanced, and Diseqc 1.2, you need to add the satellites, you want to find, in the Tuner menu, and store them on different numbers. You then use the satellite finder option, to move your dish, and store them on the assigned numbers.

I do not know why you do not use it
usuals configuration if you have DiSeQC motor.
Which is much easier to use and configure if you have a motor.

Those who use advanced are mostly doing it because they do not mechanically set up the antenna as prescribed in the rotor and antenna instructions.

I still advise you to pay attention to the above
to have many years of pleasure to use the installation without any problems.

I must emphasize that this is a precision work
Every millimeter is important for signal strength.
Most importantly is mount the antenna mount/metal tube in the absolute vertical position.
This is essential for easy antenna and motor adjustment.

When the antenna and motor are correctly and precisely positioned
it remains only to write the coordinates of your city into the ususals configuration.

and Scan satellites or use ready made SAT list settings.

The problem you describe to me most looks bad
set elevation and antenna position.
Provided you have used the correct configuration in the box.

About Advanced

In Advanced Configuration
All different positions must be memorized/Save under different numbers
for each satellite separately.
Do not forget that after each configuration change you need to reboot the box.

I have to use the advanced option, due to having a Channel Master 1.2M dish, and a Jaeger 1224 motor, which is a 36v motor, with 4 wires going from the motor to a V-Box II.
Do you have a similar set up, or as Matrix10 states do you have a simpler Diseqc motor?
It is always easier if you list your satellite set up, in full, so we know best how to advise you.
I have my satellite positions, in the V-Box II, written down, so now I only have to set the satellites, in the tuner menu, to correspond with the V-Box II settings.
This makes it a lot easier, as you can just enter the tuner menu, select Tuner A, which I have going through the V-Box II, select a satellite, configure the settings, including the correct stored position, save it, then go back in to select the next satellite, and keep doing so until all the satellites have been stored.
You don't need to re-boot the receiver, at any point.
Make sure you choose the correct satellite, in Europe some satellites are listed as KU band, KA band, and C band.

Your first post stated that you were using Open Black Hole 4.2, now you're using the older Black Hole 3.0.5, and you still haven't provided the relevant information, regarding your system, apart from Solo 2.
Can you please confirm that yo have the VU+ Solo 2, or do you have a different receiver?
The latest Black Hole is 3.0.6.
