Open BlackHole Online Update

About updating process via GUI: I usually don't update this way but I prefer the command line; but, when I occasionally do it by the GUI, I need to wait some minutes only for the Full Backup automatically launched before the update.
I'd like to know if there's an option to disable this full backup. I thought I remembered it somewhere but I didn't find it!

Well, I think I can answer myself: there's a line in settings file I think it'll do the trick:
config.softwareupdate.autoimagebackup=True
whom I turned into False. But it definitely should be also in the GUI.

Why complicating it? You have full backup, and backupsettings! ;)

Full backup is a full backup.... settings backup, if you are restoring the settings for the same version image, you should be prompted to installl plugins or not!

Upper images, only with a trick, you can restore it, in any case it can be not 100% compatible, ok?

I think I didn't explain myself well: I know the two kind of backups and I've been using them since the very first days of my experience with VU+, years ago. ;)
I meant (before finding this line in etc/enigma2/settings)
config.softwareupdate.autoimagebackup=True
that, having it set to TRUE, the update process by the GUI ALSO performs a FullBackup, whom I don't want because I already have it set on a daily base automatically and this was for me a waste of time (in case I don't use the command line, whom I use 90% of the times, in order to update the image).

So, now, setting that line to FALSE the update starts without performing the FullBackup before updating the image.
What I'm saying is that, as this option is present, it should be possible to set it within Backup submenu.
Well... I found out that the option was actually in the FullBackup menu but its name is, I thing, misleading: you have
Automatic settings backup: NO

but this settings should be only meant to perform also a settings backup each time the scheduled FullBackup is created.
Instead, I found out that this is exactly corresponding to the option line in the /etc/enigma2/settings file!
And this is wrong, I believe: what has to do this with the fact that, before an update of the image, a Full Backup is created? I couldn't figure out it.

So, it should be named
Automatic full backup before software update: NO/Yes

although, is not the perfect place, I think, to place this option.
I think this option should be under
Setup/User Interface/Settings

and named differently, for instance as I propose in the screen:
Perform a full backup before upgrading.

This way it would clear what this two options do in both sections.

What do you think?

The settings you are talking about is in Menu>Setup>Software Update, after checking for update press Menu and there you have the option to disable settings and/or full backup before update.

Can you please explain what does "blows" mean?
Anyway: I can also test myself; after all, I've got a daily scheduled backup: so, I can revert to it, in case.

4.4.018 has received the push, very stable, no problems encountered. There are still some problems that are far from the Chinese core. It is still a big problem to identify the main font of the font. If the main font is directly changed to Chinese, then other languages are the problem. Please help from the master.

Sorry I have no idea what you are trying to say.

..... you are right, the update was successful, but. only when I activated the flash first and then the image on OMB ... thanks
Don't tell me that this was your problem: it has always been like that! You can't update a process while it is running; and it is definitely running if you are using an image from OMB.
But, it's not a problem, after all: all the other packages are updated except the two files regarding OMB itself.

Automatically recognize Chinese fonts with the help of the master, and multi-language like other firmwares, select Chinese will not be garbled
