Open BlackHole Online Update

Azam - thanks for the quick reply. My setup is pretty standard too but once in a while a new flash, as opposed to an online update, has resulted in hours of work to get things back to how they were. That's why I'm always wary when doing a flash.
I remember for example some time ago where a couple of satellite names had been changed so my channel lists pointed to the wrong names and had to be scanned in again and then the bouquets had to be re- created.
Anyway thanks for your advice.
Regards
Valb

I try update but I only have version 4.4.023 2021-10-12
When I go to software update is says: nothing to upgrade.
How can I get ver. 5.x?
Thanks

You can use Menu/Backup/Settings Backup (or similar, I don't remember the English item).
Something (like the thing you mentioned and that's not allowed in this forum) might not be saved, unless you customise the files to include in the settings backup by pressing again Menu after entering Settings Backup submenu, and then YELLOW).

Vu+Solo2 shows updates but does not actually update after reboot.

Exact same issue experienced again when trying to update Vu+Solo2 from 5.0.006 to 5.0.007. No issues updating my other box Vu+Uno4K. Something is clearly not right about update files for the Vu+Solo2. I attach the Telnet Log.

Maybe your flash is full ?

Can you check the sysinfo screen (blue - yellow) then look at Filesystem in the Storage area and see how much flash space is used and available

Ok solo2 image finished rebuilding, so you can try to update again now.

Thanks Ev0. Now successfully updated to latest 5.0.007.
Just one updated package does not install 'as installing it would break existing dependencies'. Please see attached log for that.

Thanks for sorting the fix out so quickly.

That's an old OE-A issue that has been present for over a year now that nobody has got to the bottom of.

It's linked to 1 of the libs used by Kodi or Serviceapp, but doesn't do any harm and as far as I am aware there isn't actually an update of that lib anyway.

What's your problem? Please explain.
The last "." is just the punctuation and you can remove it, but the link is perfectly working and links is correct.
You just have to click it, if you need to download it, or copy to a browser without the "." or, also, copy to a text editor.
