No image after booting

I have Vu + Ultimo 4k. After starting the bootloader, I have the image (logo image), but when it goes to the next stage, it does not start, when I remove the HDMI from the socket and run it, everything is OK. I have to wait until it starts up and then everything works. Installing the firmware doesn't help. Has anyone had a similar problem.

Mam Vu+ Ultimo 4K.

1) What image are you talking about?
2) Did you just pressing MENU when the "starting GUI" or "Starting enigma2" ends? Does the menu appears?

What video settings have you set, 2160?
Can you please post the make/model of your television.
Have you got another television, or PC monitor, with HDMI input, to test it on?

I checked it on a different TV and on a different HDMI cable. When I start the receiver, at the very beginning I have a startup image, but after a while the receiver stops. When I remove the cable from the receiver, it starts as if everything would work.

I have 4K TV, but have been set to lower values so as not to run with a connected HDMI cable.
Everything is OK on the VU + Solo 4K receiver.

Do you have access by Telnet to Box? Does OpenWebif work?

If yes you get the image of the video settings here.

The electronics are wrong here, not the settings, because even when I reload the software, the VU + does not start with HDMI connected (I waited even 10 minutes and nothing of it). In this box, some scaler went or a resistor, but what can be responsible for it? I also have a VU Solo 4K and I know how to configure. But if you want, I can send it.

You say you can see the boot logo so that is what makes me feel the issues is not hardware but a configuration.

Get it switched on and grab a screenshot of the configuration via webinfo.

This is not the fault of software or configuration, because when I connect a pendrive with a new factory soft without changes, it is the same as the HDMI cable is connected, the receiver does not start up in black on the display and there is info on the TV no connection, how will I start without a cable HDMI and connect it later, the BOX starts and everything is OK. I am looking for a diagram with voltages on individual electronic components or maybe someone knows which system is responsible for HDMI control. Thanks a lot for wanting to help.

If it's like you say, I fear it's a faulty video adapter and VUplus' video adapters are built-in, not like desktop computesr where you can replace the ones installed in a slot or add them to motherboards with built-in ones.
In this case, only a very very very good IT technician with important equipment might help you.

If it's working with the factory image then there is no HW error. Download the image you are trying to flash again to get a new freesh and make a new attempt to flash with that image.
Can be a broken or corrupt download creating this problem.

But, if I understood well, he only sees what he calls "bootlogo", that should be the splash screen. And it is in low resolution. Then, when enigma2 starts, the Hires mode does not work. This is what I understood.
And this reminds me of many computers I had for assistance which did the same: they show something only at the very first stage of the booting process and then nothing, because the HIres needed more Vram for different graphic modes.
@pitosik: did I understood well your situation?

This can also explain why the factory image loads. Skin res is only 720p while the default skin for OBH and BH is 1080p Hi-Res

Alexwllmac It is 100% exactly as you write.
I only load the very beginning. There is only the software logo that is the initial one, and then the receiver is standing (of course, as the HDMI is connected). Alexwllmac - do you have any idea what might be damaged, how to fix it?

Can it be damaged RAM - if so, is it repairable (replacement), how can it be checked and which system it is, if it is RAM

I wrote what we may suppose would be the problem:
1) Vram (VideoRAM): this is more likely because you see something but only in standard low resolution. If it was damaged the whole video adapter chip, I don't think you would see any picture.
2) Video adapter (less likely, as of point 1).
3) Ram... hmmmm I don't think so, but IT devices are a strange world. And if it's the RAM, it is surely not easily replaceable.
If it's the ram it means the video adapter built-in shares RAM to be used as Vram. I honestly don't know the HW structure of Ultimo4K.

Vu+ do not release the schematics of their receivers unfortunately.

So information is very limited and as the Ultimo4K is not a box that fails often I guess nobody has ever traced which components do what.

However it is VERY strange that the box will hang at the splash screen, but if the hdmi cable is removed it will then boot and continue to work if you connect the hdmi cable later.

The only thing I can suggest for the moment, is to connect an RS232 cable to the Ultimo4K, and log the output in putty from the moment the box switches on until it hangs.

Then try removing the hdmi cable whilst the box is still switched on and see if it continues to boot.

In doing that it "might" give some more insight to what the issue is, but ultimately it may not help find a fix.
