VuPlus ... an exceptional brand that unfortunately seems to me to die ...
I that in all the forums dedicated to the world of the Sat I supported VU with every vehicle now I feel like man betrayed by the great and unique love of him ...
Oh well, I'll give you a reason and I'll try among the other brands I've always avoided almost the plague ...
I already see snel my living room a Gigablue or Pulse product ... but the others for me chineserie please no ...

Pulse is a good receiver

The PULSe4k hardware is decent, with dual tuners and place for a small internal hard drive. But DVB-S2 blindscan is broken, and the tuner does not work as well as it could. AB-COM has no desire to fix these issues. The PULSe4k appears to be a copy of an older model receiver with a few cosmetic and software updates.

Most of the other "new" enigma2 receivers that are or will be on the market now are older receivers with new software or copies of older receivers. First we had a Pandemic and now we have a war. It will probably be close to the end of 2022 or even into 2023 before we see fta receivers that are actually new.

I have spoken to AbCom about the blindscan, they contacted the tuner manufacturer about it, and they were looking into updating the drivers.

But these things take time, especially with the pandemic and everything else going on, i'm sure most of the manufacturers are only working part time still.

On the other hand if the latest BH 3.1 works ok and the receiver dose its job, cant complain I guess.
However, I would like to know the advantages of OBH and on VU+?

Are we still in this phase?
After reading an AlexWilMac thread a few years ago I switched to OBH and from there I have not moved.
When sometimes out of curiosity I return to BH (on the Solo4k I have it installed in OMB) I have the same unpleasant impression I had long ago, when I was still working, and due to inventory problems I was forced to go from the PC to an IBM AS400 central unit: flat , anonymous, terrible ...

With all avaible plugins if you mean all who is in the Image plugin feeds. The answer is Yes
But with thirdparty plugins you download from the internet. No image Team can guarantee that they all works.
You have to make sure they are coded in py 3 or else they want work.

Thanks at least I know it gives some extra life to VU+ BOXES dispite no recent updates from the manufacturer or new models planned yet

Well the Manufactor image has allways been very lean or if you ask me useless ;)
It's the fine work by Team Blackhole in the BH image who have made that image come alive.
But there is not the end just migrate to OpenBlackhole and you can enjoy your Vu+ for many years to come

If OBH is Python 3 dose it run all the avaible plugins?
Even in Python 3 the interpretations are not the same. for example if you create a plugin in python 3.9, you will get errors installing it on an image built under python 3.10.2
