Hi there!
would you please help me to choose an efficeint USB adapter ? My options are TP-Link 822N with Atheros chipset and TP-Link 7200N with Ralink chipset.
For your information, after I disappointed to find D-Link DWA-171 in our local market(Iran), I bought a D-Link 131 and what a shit it was; delayed connection, no stable communication with FTP and very bad support for emulators.( I was wondered while I could connect to internet and check the weather, there was no chance to emulator to decode the channels!!) Thus, this cheap adapter(131) shall be given back to seller but no money will be back to me. I have to choose some other adapter among the seller's goods. I need your help to avoid purchasing another useless adapter. My options are as indicated above.
Thank you in advance for your constructive helps
I suppose you have bought a DWA-131 A1 device. If you have the B1 instead I need some infos about that because is not yet supported but it's possible to add it.
About your devices reported:
- TP-Link 822N: three revisions avaiable on market
v1 uses carl9170 - driver included into BH images but I don't know if that device is already included
v2 uses ath9k_htc - driver included into BH images but I don't know if that device is already included
v3 uses rtl8192cu - driver included into BH images and already supported
- TP-Link 7200N: the online database who use to discover wifi device doesen't known this device. I suspect is TP-Link 7200ND device.
That device has a RT3070 chipset and it's already supported by BH images but I don't suggest this device because can be problematic like all Ralinks devices unfortunately.
One more thing: you are trying to use illegal software... for this reason you won a 1 week ban and this thread will be closed.
