Cutting 4K recording impossible

I found out that it's impossible to edit and cut 4K recordings and this with BH 3.0.2I, OBH 0.6 and OpenPLI.
When I try, moviecut gives me an error about .ap file but the problem it's not caused by movietools.
The reason is that simply there is NO .ap file!
Obviously, I also tried to reconstruct .ap .sc by the specific tool but it is not possible just because, I think, Solo4K is not able to produce the .ap file or if it creates, is of zero length.
This prevented me to cut, for instance, the "I medici" broadcasted in 4K (and I initially thought it was a decoding problem but it isn't because it happens also with FTA 4K channels) and it's a pity.
But the problem is not secondary, in my opinion: what's the purpose in having a 4K decoder with ability to cut all recordings but 4K ones?

UPDATE: the problem is even odder than it seemed.
After new tries with BH, I had different results:

-sometimes the cut succeeds normally;
-sometimes it says it's not possible but, at least, playing the video it just... jumps from IN to OUT as it was really cut (while it's not, from the file size)
-sometimes it does even odder things, probably because the time elapsed/remaining is completely wrong.
