making a full image backup 2.1.4 xbmc?

I've made a full backup from within the image,
looking at it in /media/hdd/vuplus/solo2/ I have 3 files in there
kernel_cfe_auto.bin
root_cfe_auto.bim
reboot.update
I noticed that the original 2.1.4 has 5 files.
initrd_cfe_auto.bin &
splash_cfe_auto.bin are missing from my back up is this normal?
do I need them? If so can I use the ones from the original flash file?
I did see an error when backup had completed about the splash screen. i ran it twice but had the splash error each time?
I have 2 x solo2 and was going to install my backup on to the other receiver
also where are my system settings backup stored cant seem to find them.
I had made a back up of them separately I thought but are unable to locate them on hdd?
(will the full image backup contain the .xbmc folder on hdd?) I can just ftp out addons and userdata if I need to just wondered

Only internal memory is rewritten during flash but you can copy the .xbmc file to the hdd on the other box then will have all the addons.

that part is no problem, more concerned regarding the backup only making 3 files for new flash or this this quite normal for BH?

I never back up so wouldnt know sorry. Looks like we will have to reflash with every beta update too
