Hi
I try login to my VU+ with BH 3.1.0 and get info "connections can't be reached".
I looking into OpenWebIf plugin and notice port was change from 80 to 88.
after I change port I cant connect but, is different password!
I can't login any more with my password! I not change anything.
How can I setup new password? Is very urgent for me.
Thanks for any help.

passwd root
(or simply passwd, because it's automatically assumed you are the root user)

Then you'll be prompted twice for the password. Don't expect to read anything in the command line, though, because what you type remain hidden (not ever starred).
So, type your password and press Return and then again.

I know haw to set or change password in console.
Problem was (was, because I just flash my last backup) I loose password, is like someone or something change OpenWebIf port from 80 to 88 and also password.
I have no access to change password until I not put correct password.
In OpenATV image, I can change password straight in menu-setings-network. But unfortunately I can't see this options under Black Hole.

Strange think, why password was change and why port was change?

BH images have:
- no password for root user
- OpenWebIf listen on port 80

If your OpenWebIf is reacheable from Internet (very bad idea!) probably someone change it.

How on Erth someone could change any think if my password was 12 characters included lower and capital letter plus special characters and numbers?
If you need log in to OpenWebIf you need password and IP address.
No chance.
ps. I know that BH have no password, but i setup my own password.
Is looks like new or different version OpenWebIf was install during the night.

Is there a chance to change the password directly in the receiver from the remote control?
Or only by telnet?
Again today I have a problem with logging into the receiver.

The password is not changed by itself.
Take a look in Download Manager (green button - yellow button) and install the Passwd plugin (or similar) who should give the possibility to change root password via GUI.

When I go to Addons Download Manager and then BlackHole add-ons plug-in, And after around 5 min I got this: "Sorry, Connection Failed".
I need fresh flash and setting everything again.
Something probably broke, some process probably caused some conflicts. And hence the problems.

It's quite strange.
I've installed BH 3.1.0 into my boxes and none of them have the issue you report.

My boxes aren't exposed to Internet and cannot be reached via Telnet, SSH or OpenWebIf.
