Wrong time in kodi

Hello, i always had the problem that the time in kodi is 2 hours back.
I select my country and my region but cannot change the time manually.
I've just updated at 3.0.2, same problem with 2.1.7.

The time in tv mode is correct, only in kodi is 2 hours back.

Any ideas?

Set the correct time in KODI.

When on running KODI, set time:

System > Settings > Appearance > International and set your time location.

Note: Don´t forget to change the settings level at least as "standard", but better is "expert". The "basic" settings level don´t give you permissions to change your location.

Take a look:

1) Change settings level from "basic" to "expert" ... down arrow key.

2) - Change international settings:

Hi.
I can't make the clock correct in Kodi? I have tried the things you listed here, but no luck.. :cry:
The timezone is greyed out in the settings International area, so i can't change anything there?
The clock on my tuner is correct, it's only when i am in kodi it's wrong.

I have a Vu+ Solo 4K and running Black Hole 3.0.2.J.

Thanks for all help!

You can edit timezone /etc, in file timezone.xml /etc/tuxbox find your time zone, for example:
"(GMT+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Sofia" - zone="Europe/Istanbul", copy/paste Europe/Istanbul in timezone /etc

Hi,

That didn't work for me.

I edited the timezone.xml in etc/tuxbox, this is the line i am editing:

<zone name="(GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Vienna" zone="CET" />

and i changed this line to:

<zone name="(GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Vienna" zone="Europe/Oslo" />

But Kodi is still one hour behind. :sad:

You need edit file 'timezone' in /etc, not 'timezone.xml' in etc/tuxbox.

Hi

In Solo 4K BH Images you have no timezone.xml in /etc
in /etc you will find a symlink to the timezone.xml which is
located in /etc/tuxbox

Hi

And thanks for helping me out on this!

But when i edit the timezone.xml in /etc to this:

<zone name="(GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Vienna" zone="Europe/Oslo" />

Then the clock on my Vu+ Solo 4K is showing wrong time.

When i change it back to the way it was, like this:

<zone name="(GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Vienna" zone="CET" />

Then the clock on my Vu+ Solo 4K is correct, but not the clock in Kodi is wrong with both settings change?

Yes harddriver that seem to be correct, when i change the timezone.xml in /etc it also changes in /etc/tuxbox and vice versa. :)

Yes harddriver i totaly agree!
That would be the best way to fix this thing.
It's only a irritating problem this, so i can also live with it. :)

I have tried several other images and the time can be corrected in the Kodi Setup menu on most of them.
I think Blackhole is the only image i can't change the timezone in Kodi Setup menu..

Hope it will be fixed in a future release!

Lord_Iscariah, ok, your time zone is "CET", just unzip and copy/paste this 'timezone' file to /etc, then reboot your VU+.

Hello yura21,

Thanks for all help from you.
But that file you sent me didn't do anything, it's still wrong time in Kodi.

I can live with it as i said in the post abow, it's only annoying..

Fingers crossed for the developers to open opp for the timezone setup menu in Kodi. ;)

Thanks again for the help!

I have the same problem and have tried most of the above - no luck - just an annoying 1-hour out kodi time. No solution then, I guess
