Yes, sure: if you have tried other HDMI cables and if you have (obviously) also checked the problem is not your TV, there is no other way that an electronic technician.

So, the problem can't be the HDMI output.
Hence, now, to understand if it's only a SW problem or an HW one, you have only one chance: reflash your box. What image did you have installed? From the picture it seems you had the original VU+ image, but you can try whatever image. Obviously, we are the forum of BlackHole and OpenBlackHole and we can give you support about these two operative systems.

Have you tried pressing the menu button. on your VU+ remote control? It could be that you haven't scanned in any channels, or set up any bouquets.

How much experience, do you have with E2 receivers, like the VU+ ?

as soon as the update is finished and I restart, you don't tell me to go to the menu

You seem to have flashed Black Hole, onto your receiver, judging by the boot up screen, but as you've loaded Black Hole, onto other VU+ receivers, you must know that you should get to the installation screen, as it automatically re-boots, allowing you to select your settings, set up your internet connection, your tuner, and the option to scan, for channels, or wait.

I assume that you got the message, requesting that you remove your USB stick.

Unless you have selected a channel your receiver will always stop at the start up screen, after first loading the new image.

Did you get any of the options of setting up your receiver, after flashing?

I don't understand your last post:

Have you tried different USB sticks, freshly formatted, and downloading a different image?

Also try removing everything connected, to your receiver, any USB connections, and even the coax cables. All you need is power and a connection to your television.

What do you want to erase if it's defective? If it was physically damaged, you can't do nothing! Defective means you can't read or write or both. Erasing means writing, for instance, a sequence of zeroes. Or do you think that a blank support is virgin?

Erase? Do you mean how do you format your USB sticks, to FAT 32?

Plug the USB stick, into your PC, open up the This PC, right mouse click on the USB stick, set File System to FAT32 and either do a full format or just a quick format.

Leave the usb stick in the port after flashing is done you can remove it later.
If you remove it to fast the flashing want be finnished even if the removal text starts to show.
And dont turn off power just let the Box reboot by it self after flashing.
