Epg problem

Hi

now i have BH 2.0.1 A, and epg is working little strange.

I have setup to save epg to /media/usb but there is no file epg.dat.

And after restart all EPG is clear, and i need to zap all channels to get epg back.

Is this normal behaviour ?

Two weeks ago i had VTI and there i have no such problems.

So is there problem in my config or in the BH ?

I like BH but this feature is realy important for me.

I use crossepg with manual download (doing it when epg disappeared - usually every 4 days); save it on USB and it works like a charm. I've tried bh built-in epg with 179-3 but it did not work for me, couldn't get what I wanted. I've never tried it again.

Thanks, i'v tried CrossEPG and it seems to work good so far. So i'll see if it's ok, after some time.

So, no change, it was working for some hours, but after many restarts it's gone.

Now i can again see only some EPG, as you can see on the screenshot.

Can you delete epg.dat file via FTP, reboot your box and start again with crossepg ?

I try to find some but this is only what i found.

Is there any howto set up Cross EPG to work ok ?

I don't want to move from BH, but EPG is really important for me.

that's the one.
But I think it's better to use cross epg force reload plugin in your plugin menu, so if your epg will disappear just run the plugin. It can be set up using cross epg configuration tool. After using this plugin your whole epg will come back on the screen.
My settings: all options - yes, but I do not have scheduled download set up an use manual downloading approximately every 4 days.
What providers do you use? I use XEPGDB only.

I am using force download, but no change.

I'v changed to XEPGDB, but it's worst then before.

try what Artorius already mentioned in his post - delete file ext.epg.dat, reboot box, go to cross epg configuration screen, select update rytec providers, then update xepgdb providers, check if you have all required providers selected, then download now. Wait when it'll finish then use ' force epg reload'
BTW I use only one epg provider per channel provider

Ok, Artorius said epg.dat, but i don't have such file.

When i delete ext.epg.dat, which is better xepgdb or xmltv ? Because on both is Slovak/Czech.

Agree with komodo opinion , EPG is very important!
I do almost the same way as darian23 explained in his post , plus the following (at CrossEPG Setup):-




And @ EPG Settings



Then before making manual DL , I use Free-Ram script and 64 Swap file (my STB is Duo) and disable BH EPG backup!
This way , the EPG information almost perfect and satisfactory from 4 Sats (13E,19.2E,26E,7W) utilization !

Ok, i tried all those things but nothing works. So i ended on VTI and there EPG is working ok, without any special settings.
But i did'nt lose BH and maybe i'll try it again.
