enigma2 not detected

hie can someone post step by step info on,how to configure vu+duo2 network settings , my vu+ is connected direct to my laptop with windows 7 software no router connected ,on network test i keep on getting unconfirmed ip and nameserver ,please can you post setting for the receiver and setting for the laptop thank
this is how i set
IP Address : 192.168.0.2 ( my Vu IP )
Netmask : 255.255.255.0 ( Same for everyone )
Gateway : 192.168.0.1 ( This is my PC IP )
Primary DNS 192.168.0.1 ( This is the same as my PC IP ) ( Hope i am right on this one )
Secondary DNS : 0.0.0.0

when i connect with dcc1.50

Telnet Connected
FTP Connected
Enigma2 not detected (Functionality limited)

and also how to add satelite.xml step by step
please...........

seen this reported with some versions of DCC, you could try ver 1.10, you could also try changing password to dreambox or password , or passwd
the mentioned version works fine tho

I'm using official enigma2. I have read in other forum that I should paste satellite. XXL to etc/enigma2 and also to etc/tux box both tried and those satellite list is not available as I trying to configure tuner

copy to /etc/tuxbox
Restart image.

satellites.xml go to /etc/tuxbox
all other files to /etc/enigma2

After ftp/copy reboot box

Hi I don't understand what are the other files you are taking about. What I have done is go to the website you mention above and generate satellite. Xml.then I ftp file to etc/enigma2 and etc/tux box .in both occasion it was unsuccessful. Please help me I'm newbie

If you want to make a scan
Then only satelittes.xml in /etc/tuxbox is enough for it.

If You like to use ready made SAT list (you can find on net for Enigma2 and VU+ box)
you have to copy not only satelittes.xml to /etc/tuxbox but all other files which go to /etc/enigma2

But I suggest you install Black Hole image
where is it all already satellites.xml inside image.
And on this forum you have all necessary information about Black Hole images.
Of course you need to read them and use search to find.

For Sat list/settings you can better use dreamboxedit program for computer
With it you can upload/download sat list from/to your box and edit lists.
Dreambox edit you can find on this forum.

But if you like to use VU+ orginal image you have now
and you like to scan channels
you need to copy/FTP satellites.xml to /etc/tuxbox
Reboot box , go to Menu>>Setup>>Service Searching>> you have manual and automatic scan
You can use one of them
But before you have to config your tuners in Tuner configuration.

All this informations you can find on this forum.
Take the time and read slowly necessary informations.

Could you please tell me what are the all other files which have to copy into etc / enigma2.

I only copy satellite. Xml.
When I try to configure tuner the satellites I want to add are not available. Please help

In some tutorial it is stressed copy satellite. Xml to etc / enigma2 to avoid replacing original list. And it will takes over list in etc / tuxbox. Is it correct

There are a lot of them I can not write everything.And the names depend on that list.

Of course, this applies to ready-made satellite lists that can be downloaded from the net.

It is strange that if you did upload satellites.xml for your satellites you do not have them in the tuner setup

I need satellites from 3e to 160e.both c and ku band
I using dual tuner both configured as single
Two lnb for two tuner inputs both receiving one satellite each

Could you attache list fulfill this requirement. Thank you
I think I'm missing something. I only have ssatellites.xml could you guide me to website that generates all files

Website that generates all files does not exist.
You have to look for satellites list/settings on the net if someone makes a list for your region.

I'm not using any motorized equipment .I'm using two lnb for two tuners and tune one satellite each of the tuner
