1.7.2 - > 1.7.7 problem

I have updated Black Hole several times on my VU+ Duo. But now when I try to go from 1.7.2 to 1.7.7 I got a strange problem. Image 1.7.7 installs with no problem through USB and starts with new boot logo and everything looks just fine. But when I go to Menu->Information->About it still says: Image: BlackHole 1.7.2? And when I click Blue button-Extra Setting I get an error simular to this : Sorry: Wrong image in Flash! Please install version 1.7.2. I have also tried with 1.7.4 & 1.7.6 pluss latest original VU+ image, but still same problem. And when I install 1.7.2 again everything works.
Anyone had simular problem or have a sollution? Thanks in advance.

Seems a flash problem ... Are you sure you have used a genuine BH image and not a backup or other things?

Yes it's genuine images. And I was sure that when I installed original VU+ image that would fix it. But I didn't.
I upgrade Bootloader(CFE) last year prior to one of the BH updates.

That error means that image is not original Bh image or is installed in multiboot with an old image in flash.
Be sure that the new image IS installed in flash and that you are NOT restoring a backup.

I have always downloaded BH images from here, never used multiboot. Just tried 1.7.7 Lite and same problem. How can I check/confirm that image is installed in flash? I didn't think I had a choice since I don't use multiboot.

I suggest to flash the official Vu+ image you can download from http://code.vuplus.com and next flash with the desired image.

Do NOT restore from a backup (that also means a personal backup).

can confirm the problem is at your end mate. Ive just checked mines and its says bhole 1.7.6 which is the image i have on my box

i faced same problem but now i flash new image and did not restore backup now every thing is ok
