I bought a cheap 7" device too use with lcd4linux, (love it)
I want to be able to bring the tablet with me on the road
and watch transcoded stream, as I do with my Ithings today.

The app that I use on my Ithings (oplayer) don't work
I have tried several other with no success
it must be able to read my m3u's from sdcard and then stream, without rooting the device...

So please advice me wich mediaplayer to use or howto.
(and no port:80 please although I have VPN solution)

example of file
Code:
#EXTM3U

#EXTINF:-1,SVT1

I use the DICE Player. It works with HD Channels. For Android exists a vu+ app for channel selection. I don't need a m3u file...

Thanks for answer,
but I don't think DICE can play those m3u's.
and I don't want to open/portforward yet another port into my enviroment,
one and one only to the STB is enough (transcoding port).
not intrested in HD on the road either

well until I found an app that fulfill my demands

not even VLC will show my m3u on the SDcard
copy and paste the text in the m3u files to VLC works,
but quite heavy work :) ......
instead I use this work around
renamed all m3u files to mp3 on my SDcard
VLC fails to stream, but it works if you then press play button :yahoo:

so only one secured port open to my STB
