BetterGraphEPG v0.3[a/b]

Change Log
- Fixed navigation issues from 'Text' EPG to GraphEPG
- Zap (Red) button switched to Info function
- OK button now does the Zap!!
- (Only v0.3b) OK button leads to closing of the GraphEPG window after zapping to the channel!

Issue / Symptoms:
- Graphical Multi-EPG has unreadable fonts
- Graphical Multi-EPG does not have 'Current Program' highlight functionality like VTI images
- No picons support
- Always need to choose the bouquet before reaching the detailed (Graphical) EPG
- EPG does not feel like $ky EPG; no direct jump to detailed (Graphical) EPG with 'Current Program' highlighted
- OK button does not zap

Solution:
This mod enhances the Graphical Multi-EPG experience on the Vu
- On chossing Graphical Multi-EPG it directly goes to the current program with details
- Has fix for font and highlight

1) Download BetterGraphEPG.zip and unzip to GraphMultiEpg.py and plugin.py on your local drive
2) FTP both the files to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/GraphMultiEPG/. [You might want to backup these two files first]
3) Restart Enigma. [Long press Power Button -> Choose 'Restart Enigma2']
4) Long press EPG button, choose 'Graphical Multi EPG', and you are in!
5) Use Channel +/- buttons to navigate through the Bouquets

[Strong Recommendation: Assign the 'Graphical Multi EPG' plugin to one of the coloured button via QuickButton assignment plugin, to get direct access to EPG rather than 1 step :)]

Skins Tested on:
- Released for all Skin
Tested by me with BH 1.44 and Army unica HD on Vu+ box

It's works for me with 2nd file on BH v1.4.5
Can you improve the area of Picons, we have a little space on the right of picon that is not good.

For now I prefer Cool TV Guide v2.2.2

Today I tested this plugin for the first time
I must be honest I do not understand those who for a couple of Picons
want to see spinner on TV and very slow epg info panel.

Do not misunderstand me
Of course, use what you like, but it is my personal opinion,
because we are years trying to raise the image performance
which are destroyed with all sorts of plugins / addons and skins.


I've already asked to put with the plugins/addons/skins info about
work and impact on the image.
To avoid those who do not want to install in the image.

MX, I hear what your saying, but there is something nice about seeing the picon of the channel on view. I have tried it with and without and cannot notice that much of a differance in speed. The EPG on the image is great (thank you for the work), but it's just a nice touch to have a picon in view.

Others no dought feel the same as many install the coleman plug in.

However, the image performance is excellent, and installing plugins to enjoy the box is up to the users whom some of them do not mind to see the spinner for few second!

I agree
but not all users do like Spinner
and this I do not raed in the information about the plugin
for someone who does not know if it is installed
He can be forced to install the image again .
And that is what is not good for all users.

Of course it is best to do a backup before installing
and even better if the information is present abt/with plugin.

Hi A111, thanks for the enhanced multi EPG. I have BH 1.4.5, have copied the 0.3b files in the location you specified. I have restarted E2, I cannot see the new graph EPG, still old one. I have restarted the box, same thing.
Is there something I am missing? Cheers

Hi Palinkat,
Your screenshot is the enhanced multi EPG as it has picons. I think you need to use a different skin if you want PIG in the EPG.
