What about the VFD display, anyway to switch off that display?

Yes, you can do it in the main menu. Just go: MENU -> SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> VFD and adjust the brightness of your VFD to the required level. The lowest level turnes the VFD off.

I think there is a plugin to update VFD Controller. Press Green Button
