as far as i saw , the vu+ duo2 seems to not work as well as the others boxes ...
am i right ?
beside that , can you tell more about plugins that are embedded in the image and the one that can be installed later by download .
some links to how to use them could be a good idea for newcomers ou new-users of BH fw...
that could be good to see a table showing the difference with the official firmware .

i have some troubles with plugins so i need to have some answers .
i used dreambox control center E2 and updated its plugins list
i saw that it download the list from the officials vu+ servers [ but did not recognized the opera plugin in the dcc e2 list]
so i had a look of the downloadable plugins using the vu+ duo2 .... the first that i wanted to install is : backupsuiteusb . the line below the name seems to says it was built the 28 november of 2012 .
to get more information about what it backups i searched the web with : enigma 2 plugin backupsuiteusb
first result shows the same plugin but this one was compiled few days ago
the fourth one is showing a linuxsat-support topic , in this one the last page shows a release made the 08-08-2014 and named Backupsuite 17.8
i wonder if the linuxsat plugins are useable with the BH firmware and if the downloadable plugins by the duo2 are the latest one or not ?

i installed some and tested few like imdb one : i am watching chaos city on comedy central /mtv network europe/astra 19.2 E
the plugin returns nothing ...if i launch site:imdb.com chaos city in google then the first result is spin - city title page showing the main infos
same goes with the google maps plugin ..that is not so nice and can not be used ..

I think you first need to look around inside the BH image.
Opera is already in
Look in Black Hole Speed Up and plugins / addons already in the image
then look in
green>>Yellow button Addons Download Manager >> Black Hole Addons Plugins
and Black Hole Feeds Plugins
then
possible additions in software management (Setup >> Software management)

You can backup channels with dreamboxedit prog
You can if not install softwaremanager in to org image and backup e.t.c

so i did a scan during afternoon .
i post again because this morning i had troubles with the clock
as you can see with thumbnails below the vu+duo2 can set a wrong clock and keep it : i mean i found no way to change it .
so for the BH2.1.6 , i would like to find an option for the first tv channel that is used when the powered on .
[i have no idea how the duo2 select it but if it a channel of turksat 42.5 then the clock is not "Nice" ] .
a good second new option could be to turn off the two displays or at least a screen saver like ssstars.scr of windows nt4 or up

Try this method that could help:
select whatever channel that has the correct time and date and then turn off the receiver normally.
At the next power on you should have the correct time.
In the standby state you could decide which display to keep going or have both turned off.

Thanks. But I have a queston. Why not add a time option that allows users to select how to set time, such as form TP(Transponder) time or NTP server.

Hi. I attached some log files just find on the HD of my Black Hole Vu+ Duo2 v2.1.5, about some system crashes (three using XBMC + two using Normal TV). Hope they will help you, bye

Having real issues with screen sizes - Previous image was working fine with ******* and Cool TV Guide now neither or these display correctly. Cool is central but not full screen and very small. ******* is full screen but squashed into the top left of screen.
Both worked fine on previous BH image, these are the only 2 plugins I have tried.
Apart from that it looks good
Anyone else having similar issues?

As you can see from the asterisks, that plugin is not supported here since it allows for an illegitimate vision of TV programs.
