CI module green screen

Hi. Having truble from BH 2.1.6 to 2.1.6.1 and 2.1.7 with ci module on vu+ solo2. Every time restarting with module inserted on ci slot it crashes and need to turn power off and reboot till it loads up ok maybe more then once power cicle required. Been told drivers has been updated but i think nobady is taking notice of problems and every one rushes to bombard the forum with "thankses" without any tests has been made on the new images. I have already emailed vu website with no response. Would anybody from BH team would be able to look at it please and try solve it. Back to2.1.5 as very stable up to now. Wanting to go to new image updates but very annoyed by crashes with green screens. Thamk you

Without crashlog it's impossible to determine the problem.
Vu+ Dev Team reads a lots of mails and made changes in the code and into drivers without answer emails but they works a lot around issues sent to them.
I've reported some issues and they have solved them every time ... Last of them is the JESS support: I've sent to Dev Team the link of this Board about JESS support request with patches and they have worked hard to support it ...

I've reported some issues and they have solved them every time ... Last of them is the JESS support: I've sent to Dev Team the link of this Board about JESS support request with patches and they have worked hard to support it ...

That was a picture i took when crash happened. I had to reinstall 2.1.5 as i had thos crash 4-5 times

No problems on 2.1.5. And sorry a bit late but thank you for taking time to read my post and answer me. Cheers

I will do that again. I think i did but it was back when 2.1.6 came out. Can not remember but will try again

When you have wrote to Vu+, have you send the crashlog to them?
Did you checked that photo? Can you send that to them as not being able to do so. The crash logs not available at moment as i dit cleared and deleted everything to go back to 2.1.5

Sorry just noticed you are a driver specialist ur self and may be able to sort something out. Need that ci module working as i pay for a yearly card subscription and that's why is so important to me

Hey,
I had a similar error on version 2.1.6 and 2.1.7.
A solution to the problem was the swapping drivers from version 2.1.5

I copied the folders (/lib/firmware/ and /lib/modules/) from 2.1.5 version to 2.1.7
after restart everything worked nicely.

I am having the same issue. Continuous restarts but only when accessing SecureCAM channels (MyHD Channels).
Could someone please direct me of where to download Solo2 BH2.1.5 drivers to apply the same solution as
Gimitryc!!!

Hi , not home yet but will try put them folders on here for u later on. Then just follow instructions from above posts. What i did is reinstall 2.1.5 got them folders in to my desktop reinstall 2.1.7 put folders where they should be from my desktop and job done. If you can not wait for me do the same otherwise i will be back later on tonight ok.

With them folders i did put on i have had no more truble and really do not understand how come no one from BH team has not sorted this out as they could have made un "update" with "new" drivers on without messing about manually

here is the zip file for you. just make sure copy them /lib/firmware/ and /lib/modules/ and reboot and should all be good
