difference between blackhole 2.1.4 and 2.1.5

Hi all

I recently updated my vu+ solo2 box to blackhole 2.1.4, but today i found out that their was a 2.1.5 blackhole,
so just wondering what is the difference, is their many changes as i cannot see any looking at the pages.
so isit worth me updating to 2.1.5 or should i stay with 2.1.4

iv just updated to 2.1.5 but now cooltvguide is displaying in the centre of the screen and not fullscreen like it used to

Use/download a different older skin from a image server that is not in HQ format 1920x1080

Hello everybody, I love blackhole I´m always looking for new versions.
I installed already a lot of times this image on my Vu+solo2 but I can´t make it work on Meoboot.
I installed OpenPli in Meoboot on Blackhole 2.1.4 and it works perfectly, nevertheless ,when installing OpenPli in Meoboot on Blackhole 2.1.5 the channels list bouquets are "unlighted" and nothing works, and I install things exactly the same way I do with 2.1.4.
Can somebody give an idea?

From Black Hole 2.1.5 specifications:

Warning: Don't mix images with OpenGL animations and images without animations in multiboot because they use different drivers. If you have an OpenGL image in flash you can only use OpenGL images in Meoboot.

Change in Meoboot:
Black Hole 2.1.4: during starting meoboot you can choose which meoboot-image to start
Black Hole 2.1.5: during starting meoboot you can not choose which meoboot-image to start

Cheers, I come back with this subject just to say this :
Sometimes ,in life we think we go forward but, sometimes, we go backward.

We can apply this to Blackhole 215.

The only improvement is, in practical terms for the common user,for me of course, but I am not a specialist, just a curious Tv satellite lover, the improvement as I said, a "ligthed" user GUI, instead of the black and not clearly readable one of 214.

Meoboot not good, Epg not good, I didn't check everything because I replaced it by 214.
Sorry but that's what hapenned to me and until now I don't know what to do to put it working 100%, is it not what we want all?
May be next one 216??

Hi, I think you had rather to switch back to 214, I did the same, this image is not so good as the previous one, cheers.

I not agree with you. I use BH 2.1.5 in all of my boxes and all works regularly without crashes (Solo2, Uno and Ultimo - other boxes in my signature are used for development only).

Hi , if you do not use Meoboot you cannot say the 215 is better than 214, you don't know all the functionnalities of 215, how can you say 215 is better?

I tell you, from my experience, I can say the image 214 is better than 215,nobody told me until now how to fix epg and meoboot problems, with 214 I have no problems.

For a correct evaluation you should take into consideration all the image improvements as a whole, not only what regards a couple of problems you have encountered.
I understand that in your specific case and in your experience you might prefer 2.1.4 over 2.1.5, but all considered there are lot of upgrades in 2.1.5.

About @angelofsky1980, he is one of the major developers of the Black Hole image, and therefore he knows the image from the inside: if he is currently using (and suggesting to use) 2.1.5 that means that the performance of 2.1.5 is overall better than that of 2.1.4, at least for normal necessities...

Hi, I have to answer to this, I'm sorry if this hurts somebody feelings but answer me to the questions above and I shall say you are right but in the meanwhile the 214 does everything the normal user needs, for instance, in my case and I'm sure this happens with most of the users, Meoboot and Crossepg work fine and as I said this is not the case with 215.

I congratulate all devellopers of 215 and all the other blackhole images they have been doing , but we must recognize our mistakes to go forward and try to approch perfection as much as possible ;from the users optics, which is the case for me, I think what I said before.
One last reflexion:
The final user doesn't care which amount of technology 215 contains, what he wants is that it will function well and that the image supplies is needs.

If you don't fullfill this areas you don't go forward you go backward and you ought to be humble and recognize it.
