My tv is not dlna compatible, but there must be a way to do this

I have vu+ duo. Ver. 1.7.8

Or is it impossible to render/play TO this "miniDLNA" plugin?

Vu+ boxes can be DLNA client or DLNA server.
Into BH images look inside Blue Panel (2 x Blue button) and look at the end of menu: there are two or three items regarding DLNA system.

If you want to send medias to other devices you must use Mediatomb or MiniDLNA server. DJMount is CLIENT part into box.

Sorry, you didnt understand me.
I want my VU+ to be a dlna media renderer, not a server. I dont want to share my vus internal media.
I want to play my media from my nas to my vu via my phone/ipad.

Media Renderers are devices that will receive instructions to play media from another DLNA device such as a Media Controller.

Each component in a DLNA system is called an endpoint, or simply “box”. In most cases there are two boxes, the Media Server and Media Player. When you use a Media Controller to play media from a Media Server on a Media Player, there are three endpoints; this is often called the “three box model.”

In addition there are two ways for media to go from a Media Server to the playback device. A Media Player will “pull” media from the Media Server; this is sometimes called “the two-box pull model” and it’s usually the easiest to set up and begin using. But if your DLNA-connected home theater equipment features a Media Renderer, you can use the convenient, almost magical “two-box push”, in which you play media on the renderer without even touching it; for example, displaying a photo from your phone to the living room TV using only the controls on your phone.

Can the vu+ box act this way? :)

Now it's more clear but current Vu+ boxes doesen't have enought CPU power to make render for DLNA :(

That is strange indeed. Normally renderer just get an URI proposed by the client than uses local resources (mostly hw) to play it as usual. The issue can only be content encoding, stream encapsulation, resolution and LAN throughput. It is nothing about downscaling, downmix or high CPU usage. It's almost like AirPlay but for those who are not addicted to i* stuff ;)
