DTS to Dolby plugin

I would like to investigate if it possible to have a DTS -> Dolby 5.1 conversion feature or as a plugin.
If it is a realistic target then i would like to jump in.

I am interested in having this feature.

Can you (aka moderators ) help me to get in contact with some developers ?

You can downmix DTS/Dolby to Stereo PCM but not change audio stream from DTS to Dolby.

I am very focused to have minimal setup (less wires with max functionality) for my media home system.

In my setup I use Solo2 ---hdmi--> TV ---optic--->SONOS soundbar. I use the TV as MUX for selecting various video sources.

The TV can NOT convert DTS to Dolby. Also the Sonos soundbar support only Dolby (no DTS).
It will be tremendous if VU SOLO 2 can do this. Also I think this feature fits with the new direction: XBMC integration in BH images.

It strongly looks to me as if BH image does not support DTS playback at all, there is a downmix (watch tv channel, press yellow, select dts downmix on or off) but when playing DTS audio files there is no audio to be found anywere. In XBMC playing a DTS file shows that it's a DTS file, the player starts to play, but my amp just doesnt get any data on the SPDIF port.

when I play movies with dts, there is no problem what so ever.
