I have purchased this and can confirm that it tunes perfectly the UK DVB-T2 channels.

However, using the Blackhole 2.09 image I am finding that the UK Freeview EPG is not populating the correct information.
The EPG populates a lot of random symbols rather than English.

For example, this is what is shown in the EPG for Channel4 HD

This listing relates to a programme called Restoration Man

Is this something that could be fixed in a future version of the Blackhole image ?

I too have now got this new DVB-T2 internal tuner.
It's working properly, but in my case without apparent differences from my previous internal DVB-T.

But now I'm facing a new problem:
I've also a USB DVB-T tuner (currently a Hauppauge WinTV Duet HD connected to a powered USB hub) but when I select a DVB-T channel the Duo2 always chooses the WinTV stick, not the internal DVB T2 tuner.
This didn't happen when I previously was using the internal DVB-T tuner.

My idea is that the Duo2 selects the tuner which better supports the type of the channel, so when watching a DVB-T channel the box considers the DVB-T stick more suitable to this signal than the DVB-T2 tuner, even if it's a USB tuner.

I've tried to modify the option:
config.usage.alternatives_priority
within the file settings, without luck.
The original value was 5 (don't know what it means), I tested the value 3 because I supposed 3 = Tuner C
as I've 5 tuners that in BH are called in this way :
A: DVB S2 (first tuner of the internal dual)
B: DVB S2 (second tuner of the internal dual)
C: DVB C/T2 (internal)
D: DVB T (first tuner of USB WinTV Duet)
E: DVB T (second tuner of USB WinTV Duet)

Have you experienced the same situation?
Any suggestion to solve this annoying problem?

Thanks.

I found on the Internet that the values of the option:
config.usage.alternatives_priority
can't be useful for this problem (and now I understand why mine was 5...)

Code:
config.usage.alternatives_priority = ConfigSelection(default = "0", choices = [
("0", "DVB-S/-C/-T"),
("1", "DVB-S/-T/-C"),
("2", "DVB-C/-S/-T"),
("3", "DVB-C/-T/-S"),
("4", "DVB-T/-C/-S"),
("5", "DVB-T/-S/-C") ])

Goldwafers, where I bought my VU+ Duo 2, has it listed, as should quite a few other places.

Is it better than the older DVB-C/T-Tuner? Has it a better image quality? Which one should I choose? I am only interested in DVB-T.

Thank you!

I mean if you do not need T2 then there is no advantage.

The newer tuners only beniffit is that it has T2 capabilities.
