I have just bought a Vu+ solo2 box from a person in a private sale on a forum and he insists it's genuine but is there anyway to tell for sure?

Quicky question to anyone, I did notice there seems to be a bit of 'play' where the power lead connects into the box and if wiggled turns it off - not a big thing but I just thought that's not very well made!
