Help - Backup Time lenth

Hey everybody,
i made a backup for my VTi and i restore it now from a USB flash drive, but it still running from the last 30 minutes.
i want to ask how much time it tooks for the hole process (time)?

It takes about 2 or 3 minutes to install an image.

But why it took so long ? ... i did to restart the box and re-install the image for new !
