May the skin was damaged,,,try remove ( use FTP tools) and keep only the default skin!
Or
Just re flash a new BH Image,,,,and if U have your E2 saved on the HDD it will be there and can be restored!

Thanks for the reply, what files do I remove exactly in the FTP for the skins? Where are they located?

And do you mean Enigma2 files? they are present from FTP and I copied them to my PC just in case (Channel files etc) but how do I restore them?

If I flash a new BH image do I lose my plugins and settings?

Also, after some research I read that I can restore my update through a USB by formatting it to FAT32 and adding the 3 files, but I don't have "boot_cfe_auto.jffs2", can I get that from a fresh BH image and put it with my kernel_cfe_auto.bin and root_cfe_auto.jffs2 full backups? Will that work?

Replays as follow

Q1) skin folder @ user/share/enigma 2/(name of the skin).

Q2) E2 settings , that was saved using Software Manager (long pres Blue).

Q3) yes you will lose all plugin and settings (backup file that stored at HDD will be there).

Q4) no need for those steps ( it may miss up the STB and will not work again), just flash a new image ...it has features for personal back and much more stable, picture quality is better,,,,etc!

I know it may be a long process,,,but it worth it!

Thanks a911, the thing is I have important things stores in /vars and other directories.

If I install a new BH and then use it to restore the old backup, will that work?

If U can access the STB using a FTP program,,,U can transfer the important files to your PC!
And NO cannot restore old image backup on newer image (it may have new Kernels, drivers....etc)!

However, if U have a full (good) backup , it can be restored ( without installing a new image) !

Yes, I do have a full backup which contains "kernel_cfe_auto.bin" and "root_cfe_auto.jffs2" but how do I restore it? Using the flash USB drive? Can I use the boot_cfe_auto.jffs2 found in the BH 1.7.5 .zip?

Also, I believe PersianPalace was updating when the electricity went off, maybe its corrupt now, how can i remove it? Is it in /Enigma 2 as well?

I appreciate your help

Dear boeder,

Q1) If U have BH on flash,,,No other image on the multiboot (meoboot) can be updated!
Q2) For restoring the full BKup,,,just do it , like flashing a new image using the front USB!
