Hello all. Contemplating purchasing a Solo 2 in the near future. Looking for info, tips and opinion to help me. New to this but not a complete technology numpty.

If it's within your budget then go for it! One of the best boxes about and will handle anything you throw at it. You will not be disappointed if you decide to buy it.

Thanks, that's what the feedback I'm reading says too. Just got to beware of the clones by the sound of it?

If you buy it from one of the retailers listed in the forum then there will be no danger of getting a clone.... The price also will alert you as to whether it's a clone or not.....

Why would I want to connect the box to a wifi network, it's one of WOS's box add ons?

The box needs an internet connection to access the feeds etc that the image installed gets plugins or updates from..... The solo 2 had no wifi adaptor built in so you will need to buy one or use a ethernet cable to connect your box to the router...

Ah, box will be right next to broadband hub so I'll use an ethernet cable.
