Loopback issue?

Hi again,
I've been focusing on Bouquets and not on PIP as I thought it was working but now for some reason I cant get any PIP channels again. As the channel selection would be too limited anyway, I gave up on the one cable solution and as the Triple LNB Quad box has 4 outputs, I connected the second cable to tuner A again (as also mentioned above didn't work then either for some reason) and changed the config accordingly so each tuner can access the 3 satellites.

PIP is just not working.

I'm at a loss. With two cables connected and each tuner configured individually for 4 (or 3 connected in my case) DiSEqC's, should I not be able to record a channel and see everything else?

I started testing again and disconnected tuner A and reconfigured B as loopback. Regardless of satellite or polarisation, PIP does not function.

Each cable and each tuner work individually though.

What to do?

Anyone? With 2 cables connected shouldnt I be able to record a channel and watch anything as well?

If that is not the case then I have one more day to return the box so please respond quickly!

Can you write more details.
What did you configure and what you could not record and wach .
You have test channels on the same satellite on different satellites, with the same polarization
with different polarization.
It is not clear from your writing.
I've got one DiSEqC, two ????

Seeing as you're asking for more details, you're saying two cables should be enough to record one channel and watch anything else at the same time but something is probably not configured properly....?

In that case which satellite or transponder I test shouldn't make a difference if the config is correct, or are you saying even two cables is not enough?

Regarding the diseqc, I meant the 4 modes A B C D as visible in the attachment. Both tuners are configured identically and not much else to configure it seems?

I am not a specialist for LNB and Diseqc but it seems to me that something
is wrong in terms of use.

Which LNB you got ( full name) .

I may be wrong but it seems to me that you have only one single Triple LNB
( with 4 outputs ).
If this is the only one single Triple LNB with 4 outputs, then no wonder you do not have
signal on all satellites and transponders.
I think One single Triple LNB QUAD can listen to only one DiSEqC command
and not two.

Correct me if I'm wrong ??

You must have an independent LNB combinations, for one and the other tuner
Two independent Diseqc ??

yes, one Triple LNB quad (nothing else named on the box as stated above).

The canaldigitaal package came with a Philips decoder with two tuners and with that device it is possible to record one channel and watch anything else, so I doubt its the LNB causing trouble. Is there nobody on this forum who knows something about this subject?

As far as I could see on Duch forums
it should work,
strange is no one writes about the combination with two tuners
everything I have seen refers to one tuner.

So I think you can ask on Dutch forums
This is a new type of LNB.

For this one you have to use DiSEqC 1.0

Just in case someone else has the same problem: the vu+ does not natively support the Mediaguard smartcards and I was using a CI+ CAM. The problem was the CAM module which can only decode 1 channel at a time, so regardless of having two tuners, PIP could never work, I was told to switch to a solution which allows the smartcard to be used directly in the VU+ without the CAM module and the problem is indeed solved. Thanks to everyone for their input though, much appreciated!
