Mediaplayer2 as default player in KODI 17.1

i'm using openbh 1.0.
Is there any way to change the default player of Kodi 17.1 to Mediaplayer2 ?

It was possible before in Kodi 16 with a plugin.py found here... but it's not working on Kodi 17.1

Please any help.

What for? You don´t need it for handling subs. Just press the subtitle button and it will open SubsSuport.

Hello,
It's helpful for resuming playback from the last position for example... :/ Mediaplayer can't do it!
You know when you quit a playback and when you comeback later... it's suppose to resume from last position
