No available tuner?

I am starting to have a big problem with my solo2 that began for about a week ago..

The problem started when when I turned the solo2 in "sleep mode" overnight that I always have done.. but now when I turn it on again it says "ingen ledig tuner" - no available tuner?. and its not possible to access any channels.
When I then restart the my solo2 it works again.. untill NOW.. now I suddently got "no available tuner" when I was changing channels from the same provider..

After the problem started for a week ago I suggested it was someting wrong with my blackhole image that had worked smootly last 7 months so I upgaded it with my usb to last version 2.1.0.1 but the problem is still here..

Anyone had the same problem or is my solo2 going to be dead soon? I bought it when the solo2 came out..

Hope someone can help me..

Thanx

Can you check tuner output voltage? It should be 13 or 18 ( depend on H or V channel ) . if you could measure correct voltage, so it is software problem else hardware issue.

with a voltmeter from the lnb-output of my solo2 or just from the lnb`s?

ps.. Im not so good with voltmeter but I have one here.. where to put the red cable and where to put the black? afraid I would damage something... :)

Found this on a site and going to check tomorrow but it says its not necessiarily correct?

"You can measure the voltage coming out of the tuner "F" connector quite simply by disconnecting the LNB cable and pushing a bare wire into the tuner connector. Now set your voltmeter to 20 volts dc, put the red probe on the bare wire and the black probe on the screw thread of the connector. With vertical polarisation selected you the meter should indicate from 13 to 14 volts. With horizontal selected, the meter should indicate 17 to 18 volts. However, this measurement is not necessarily correct because the LNB is not connected!"

Another thing.. when I am trying the "sat-finder" in solo2 the box shut down with a crashlog.. anyone here that can read the crashlog and find out whats the problem perhaps?

Unfortunately it sounds like a hardware fault.
When you loaded the latest Black Hole image did you also restore your backup?
It might be your backup that's causing the problem.
You could try loading the latest Black Hole image, again, this time without using any backup, and instead manually scan in some channels, to see if the problem persists.
Can you try your receiver on a different setup, even a Sky dish, just to see if it works normally?

I can try to reload again.. but with 4 lnb`s there is a lot of channels to recover after :) try tomorrow after work if there isnt any news about the crash-log.. and trying to measure the voltage the same time..

I take it you are using a DiseQc switch, as you state you are using 4 LNB's. Have you noticed if this happens on all LNB's or just when viewing one particular LNB, when you switch off the receiver?
It might be worth testing your receiver on 1 LNB, connected directly to your receiver, just to see if it's the DiseQc switch that's causing the problem.

This is correct way for meausuring if you can. I sugest if you could get mentioned voltage , then connect one of your dishs directly to LNB output and change the channels of satellite that dish aligned.

Take a look in the display when the problem occour and verify if the "REC" icon is turned ON. If it happen, try to disconnect your box from Internet and reboot your box and verify if all work correctly.

its all 4 LNB`s goes down.. but strange is that 3-4 channels is ok on thor while the rest on thor is gone. (the channels thats ok is not grey in bouquets)..

Thats also true.. when I shut down solo2 it says recording is on or start soon? and I noticed that when I switch channels a red icon is blinking at the channels name? dont think it was there before but im not sure..
Checked if any record is set but none..
Trying to disconnect internet to see if the blinking goes away.

When I start the solo2 without internet the recording-lamp is not blinking on channels and all works correctly.. but I havent turned into sleep and on again the recording lamp start blinking again.. but now channels worked?
perhaps if I let it be into sleep for overnight it wont work..

Noticed also when I turned on solo2 when I came back from work today the SNR was 0-33% on every channels I tryed.. (normal 85-90). Power off and on all work..

Tested now and it says 13,5 volt but have just restarted the solo2 and all working as usual... put the solo2 into sleep mode now for testing when the error come again (perhaps after an hour in sleep mode)...
